Assalamu'alaikum WBT,
Warning: Rojak post.
'Twas great to see my girls tadi. Alhamdulillah. Apologies girls, I had to leave early. Duty calls. =)
Honestly, it wasn't enough, maunya the WHOLE day baru siuuukkk! So I'm looking forward for Friday sessions!! Yay yay!
You can call it iman-refreshing week/day or iman-recycling week/day but being around these girls give me that peace I can't really describe. It's like there's 'something' that we all share and it's the LOVE that's unbelievably tying us together. Masya Allah, kalau buleh I want everyone to feel what we feel when we get together.
Buleh I'm missing you girls already?
Sweetiebums: we miss you!!!
Salam Aidil Adha everyone. I was watching a program on Astro Oasis called 'Lambaian Kaabah', I can't help but cry again. I'm a wee bit emotional nowadays.
S was telling us about a coupla girls that she had ta'aruf session with recently, and she said that, (along the lines of the story) "sebesar mana pun dosa tani, kalau tani bertaubat dengan sebenar-benar taubat dan janji untuk inda mengulangi perbuatan atu, maka pengampunan Allah lagi besar dari dosa tani atu pasal Allah yang Maha Pengampun..." and I was hiding my beating heart and tears just thinking about it. It was like flashback of what I've done during my jahiliyah times, and I can't help but thanking Allah for giving me the chance to know Him and to know Him indeed is to love Him. Masya Allah.
Not too heavy yeah? Yang penting ialah 'pemahaman kitani tentang Islam'. So what if you've been labelled or called as 'ustazah' just because you wear your tudung a wee bit bigger than everyone else (been there)? At least you're mentaati perintah Allah s.w.t. and you're doing it to please Allah and none other. Dakwah is not a job specifically for ustaz or ustazah... but dakwah is our responsibility as a muslim first and foremost. If you think the word itself possess the meaning of 'extremism' or 'alim', then you've misunderstood the concept. True, you can't just blindly dakwah someone when you see something wrong with that person, but to do so, there's also 'a way' so that you won't scare them off. And to learn the ways, several things you have to keep in mind first and foremost... (this is why halaqah sessions are interesting)
Say for example, if you wear a tudung but still fails to tone down the ghibah (backbiting) then what's the use of that tudung but to give bad impression to all the other muslimahs who wear tudung for the sake of Allah? I do salute you for wearing the tudung in the first place, but I pray that one day, you'll realize the beauty of hijab and understand that your hijab is a reflection of your personality. With hijab, I pray that your haya' and shyness comes hand in hand to reflect the true muslimah identity that Islam gives to us women. It is a process. I've been through it, and so do other sisters. You're not alone. We've been there. Once you understand the concept of 'hijab and covering up', then everything else, insya Allah will fall into place.
So what are you afraid of, my sisters?
Cukuplah Allah bagiku... Allah is enough for me...
