truly thankful.

Assalamu'alaikum dearest,

kaifa haluki? Ana alhamdulillah :) sihat sejahtera and terlalu gembira.

In fact, I'm just too happy that I am that lazy to blog until she persuaded me to post just one post. And I yield. lol. Well, that's because I love her, for the sake of Allah of course.. :)

uhhibuka fillah!!

Anyways, today is like any other day for me. Blessed and fruitful, insya Allah. Allah indeed is enough for me, even at times of ujian (especially this week), be it fall on one of the sisters, or even a few of the sisters in fact, I suppose what makes us stronger is the ukhuwwah that we have that assure us that we have each other besides Allah. And that, my friends, is something that I can't even begin to describe with words without having to shed some tears (of joy).

Thank you Allah for Your Bountiful Blessings.

(see? when I start blogging, I tend to blab away even when my initial intention is just to post some pictures... tsk!)

A story.

There I was walking down the *escalator (*can you walk down an escalator kan? lol), when I stopped by the stall that sells religious (Islamic) books when I spotted one nicely-stacked tafsir. I was browsing through it, and went to a particular (random) Surah I had in mind. When I finished reading the tafsir, the guy said, "that's *insert cost*"

I nodded.

He added, "Fi Zilal *insert cost*"

And I was taken aback by what he said. I repeated, "Fi Zilal?" I asked. He nodded and pointed at another box kept away. I approached it slowly and felt as if the world has paused for a while and slowly captured those moments when I approached the stack and touched the first tafsir. I melted, literally. And I hugged it, with passion, literally.

"I wanna bring you home", I whispered.

You see, the girls and I have our weekly Tafsir session with an *ustaz (*name kept in privacy to avoid fitnah) by referring to Sayyid Qutb's "Di Bawah Naungan Al-Qur'an" or in Arabic, it's called "Fi Zilalil Qur'an" and it took us two months to finish the Muqaddimah part of the tafsir, and it's only about 21 pages. TWO MONTHS! Imagine finishing the whole tafsir :)

Can you say, time well spent?? (read: saham untuk akhirat, insya Allah)

You see, we have access to e-books (online pdf file) and we can print it out and photocopy it for our own collection, but....

I have secretly prayed that one day I would be able to own this collection even if it means that I have to travel to KL to get them. Yep, for this, I am willing to sacrifice :)

Allah Maha Mendengar...

So He made it easy for it. Alhamdulillah...It was right in front of my eyes... I fell in love~

And now, Alhamdulillah, I am the owner of:

And I have 12 Jilid to read up!! :)

Girls, feel free to borrow any. FOC! =)

You, satisfied?? =P

You, much much appreciated!!

xoxo

Fi'amanilillah, everyone.

Salaam Ka =)

I was smiling from ear to ear reading this particular post of yurs, and i also like the extract on hidayah before this =)

and the pantai pictures!

it is so so so refreshing to the heart to listen of another muslimah's happiness for love of knowledge, books, i.e. the sacred science...doing so to get to get closer to Allah.
I wish I am with your and the marvelous HM sisters presence.
One's heart gets so dry in a environment that at most times is so 'secular' and unresponsive of the beauty of faith and goodness.

Well, all the best ka Anissa.
May Allah increase you in knowledge and faith and love. Ameen

Salaam Aisyah,

masya Allah. Alhamdulillah indeed. Semua yang baik itu datangnya dari Allah s.w.t. jua.

Truly am thankful for the journey that Allah has planned for me, up until this day, up until I was met with the rest of the sister. It was truly a blessing :)

Glad you enjoy reading, may it be beneficial for your knowledge as well as others, insya Allah. I know what it feels to be in that dry environment but insya Allah, with a determined interest to extract more knowledge, Allah will make it easy for you :) (ps. there's always the online options to feel 'connected..)

And all the best to you too Aisyah. Fi'amanilillah :)

Salaam.
